Avid Systems is seeking an Account Executive to help grow our Business Applications practice, with a focus on custom Microsoft-based solutions for government and commercial clients in the U.S. and abroad.

This role combines sales, business development, and partner engagement. The Account Executive will manage opportunities from initial discovery through contract award, while working closely with Avid’s technical and marketing teams to develop pipeline, and position Avid’s capabilities in the market.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the sales lifecycle from discovery through proposal development, negotiation, and contract award.  
  • Identify new business opportunities for custom applications, workflow automation, reporting, portals, and cloud-based business solutions.  
  • Conduct discovery sessions to understand client challenges and position Avid’s Microsoft-based solutions.  
  • Work with technical teams to develop solution concepts, demos, estimates, and proposals.  
  • Support sales of solutions built on Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse, Power BI, Power Pages, Dynamics 365, Azure, and Microsoft 365.  
  • Collaborate with the marketing lead on campaigns, events, case studies, and sales collateral.  
  • Build relationships with clients, Microsoft representatives, teaming partners, and prime contractors.  
  • Attend industry events and partner meetings to generate leads and strengthen Avid’s market presence.  

Requirements

  • 5+ years of B2B sales, business development, or account management experience in IT services, software, cloud solutions, or business applications.  
  • Experience selling custom application development, workflow automation, reporting, portals, or cloud modernization solutions.  
  • Working knowledge of the Microsoft ecosystem, including Power Platform, Power Apps, Dataverse, Power BI, Azure, and Microsoft 365.  
  • Ability to understand client business needs and coordinate with technical teams to shape practical solutions.  
  • Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.  
  • Experience with government sales, public-sector procurement, teaming partners, or contract vehicles is a plus.  
  • Microsoft partner/channel experience is a plus.
